Wedding Celebration Ceremony
Congratulations – you’re getting married!
Wherever you choose to marry, we will ensure your Wedding Celebration Ceremony is as personal as you would like it to be. A wedding is 90% ceremonial – that’s the bit your guests will remember, and we can help you to achieve an engaging, warm and relaxed ceremony, which truly reflects who you are. It can closely mirror an actual marriage ceremony if you wish and you have the freedom to incorporate virtually anything you like – from readings to music, special words to singing – in fact, anything you choose, to make your celebration unique.
“Your joyous approach, with your friendly smiles, put everyone at ease and made the whole ceremony feel very personal.”
You can be given away, write your own vows, exchange rings, involve your family and friends, even have a toast during the ceremony – whatever you choose, wherever you choose, whenever you choose, to do things your way. You can introduce religious and spiritual elements too, including hymns, readings, prayers and blessings – and if you’re both from different faiths, we can acknowledge the importance of both of your cultures, bringing together traditions and rituals important to each of you.
As we’re not tied to restrictive rotas, we’re totally flexible, so your ceremony can be at any time of day – morning or afternoon, at sunset or under the stars. And if you’ve chosen an outdoor ceremony, we’ll be outside whatever the weather – it’s your call. A bespoke ceremony also allows you to make the most of the surroundings, and we can offer suggestions and advice on how to best use the space and make the most of the setting, and incorporate the backdrop of a garden or nature if you’re outside.
We’ll work with your photographer/videographer too, with no restrictions, to ensure they can capture all the magic of your ceremony. We can often accommodate your first choice of date or late booking, and as we only carry out one ceremony a day, we won’t be coming from or rushing off to another wedding after yours either – we’ll be there as long as you need us.
Renewal of Vows Ceremony
Celebrate your marriage
The Ceremony People Renewal of Vows ceremonies offer you the opportunity to celebrate your marriage at any stage of your lives, perhaps on a significant date or special anniversary, with the people who matter most to you. You can celebrate on the date you first met, at the place where you fell in love or in your family home or garden.
You might like to incorporate some elements of your wedding day, exchange new rings or gifts or re-dedicate your original wedding rings. You can include anything from readings to music, special words to singing, as well as involving your children, family and friends – perhaps those who took part in your original wedding – and it can all be as formal or as intimate as you want it to be.
And if you’re thinking of something a little more relaxed, one of our Simple Ceremonies might be just what you’re looking for. Designed to create a focus and set the scene for your celebrations in a less formal way, a Simple Ceremony will last no more than 15 minutes and provide a sense of occasion for the festivities to follow.
“Just a few words to say a very big thank you for all your efforts in making our day so special. Your warmth, kindness and consideration before, during and after the ceremony was exceptional, and got our day, and hopefully the rest of our lives together, off to a wonderful start.”
Whatever you choose, we will help you to create a unique ceremony, personalising it with your ideas and some of our own, to reflect your commitment to each other.
As we’re not tied to restrictive rotas, we’re totally flexible, so your ceremony can be at any time of day – morning or afternoon, at sunset or under the stars – whatever you choose. We only carry out one ceremony a day, so we won’t be coming from or rushing off to another after yours either – we’ll be there as long as you need us.
Family Commitment Ceremony
Celebrate your togetherness
If you have children from previous relationships, and want to celebrate your togetherness, or if you wish to make a public declaration about your relationship as a couple, by celebrating with family and friends, a Commitment Ceremony by The Ceremony People could be just what you’re looking for
“Just a brief note to thank you for a superb and totally appropriate ceremony yesterday. We were most grateful for the sensitive and articulate way in which you conducted the ceremony, allowing us to contribute in our own ways, and for the way in which you showed such empathy with all present.”
As with a wedding celebration ceremony, you can make promises and vows to each other, including pledges to and from your children, welcoming new members into the family and acknowledging their commitment to the new family. You can exchange rings or gifts and incorporate anything from readings to music, special words to singing as well as involving your family and friends.
We’ll work with you to design a ceremony which is unique and personal to you, and captures everything you want to say about each other.
Naming Ceremony
Celebrate and welcome
Every child is special, and a Naming Ceremony enables you to celebrate the arrival of your new baby, share your choice of name of an older child or to welcome adopted or step- children into your circle of family and friends.
It can be a lovely alternative to a traditional christening or other religious ceremony, and can be held anywhere you like – in your home or garden, or somewhere that is special to you, perhaps the place where you celebrated your wedding.
“We wanted to write and express our appreciation for our wonderful wedding and naming ceremonies which took place on Saturday. We’re very conscious that you all perform wedding ceremonies so frequently that it could have been possible that we felt like “just another wedding”, but we were made to feel so special, for which we’re very grateful. The flow between the wedding and naming ceremonies worked really well, and many guests commented on how lovely the ceremonies were.”
We’re happy to include more than one child and even adults in your ceremony, and you might like to think about combining it with a Wedding Celebration or Commitment Ceremony, while all the people who matter most to you are together in one place. You can choose Guiding Adults or Friends, who can write their own personal promises to the children, to take a supportive interest in them as they grow up. And why not involve grandparents, family and friends, present a significant gift or incorporate existing or new family traditions, to be passed down through future generations.
Whatever you decide, we will work with you to ensure that this special ceremony is a memorable and meaningful occasion for you all. As we’re not tied to restrictive rotas, we’re totally flexible, so your ceremony can be at any time of day, to fit in with your family. We only carry out one ceremony a day, so we won’t be coming from or rushing off to another after yours – we’ll be there as long as you need us.
